The Humboldt Forum welcomed 1.7 million visitors in 2023. In 2024, its programming will focus on the Palace of the Republic
The Humboldt Forum proved highly popular in 2023, as demonstrated by its successful
event programming and an increase in visitor numbers. Various innovative and
participatory formats were introduced that captured the imaginations of new groups of
visitors, communities, and specialist audiences: ranging from a temporary exhibition
about the Día de Muertos titled in_finite. Living with Death to the choir weekend
Diversity of Voices, the Forum’s own winter market, and the Box Office open-air cinema
programme. In 2024, the Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss will focus its
programming on the building that used to occupy the site in the GDR: Blown Away: The
Palace of the Republic Is Present. Popular formats such as Airing Out, concerts by the
lautten compagney and the Resident Music Collective, the Code Week initiative, and
Ort der Wärme will all return in the coming year.
