BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition at the Humboldt Forum opens on 16 January
Immersive exhibits and interactive elements offer visitors an engaging experience
BERLIN GLOBAL – this is the name of the Berlin exhibition that will open on 16 January 2021 on the first floor above ground in the Humboldt Forum.
On 4,000 square metres of space, it will show how Berlin has influenced the world and vice versa. Coproduced by Kulturprojekte Berlin and the Stadtmuseum Berlin, its recount of the city’s history is not chronological but instead takes the form of seven theme-based rooms: Free Space, Boundaries, Entertainment, Fashion, War, Interconnection and Revolution. Immersive installations and atmospheric presentations lead visitors into theme-based worlds that reflect the many sides of Berlin. The city has been interacting with the world for centuries. Its people and the events it launched have changed the world. At the same time, global events have always had an impact on Berlin. Proceeding from current questions, developments and issues, the Berlin exhibition highlights selected topics and shows the city as part of a world interconnected in many different ways, in both the past and the present.
