What kind of place was the Palace of the Republic? How did it affect people before 1990 and afterwards? What memories and associations does it evoke? And why are these often very different from one another? Using the example of the palace, which was demolished in 2008, the pupils will use audio and video interviews as sources of historical information. In small groups, they examine different voices from the work of remembrance, using media-critical analysis criteria, and, in dialogue with each other, develop a differentiated picture of the significance of the Palace of the Republic in the past and present.
