Since 2007, AFRIKAMERA has enriched Berlin’s festival landscape with the diversity of contemporary cinema from Africa. Themed “Urban Africa, Urban Movies”, AFRIKAMERA – alongside the Arsenal Kino – is presenting a programme at the Humboldt Forum for the second time – with screenings, a theatre performance, audience discussions, a VR lounge and a panel on the collaboration of (Afro-)Disaporian filmmakers: “The Art of Collaboration”.
Experience current cinema films and short films from Africa, a French-Burkinese theatre performance and specially curated formats such as the panel “The Art of Collaboration” at the Humboldt Forum from 10 to 13 November. The focus of AFRIKAMERA this year is on productions that deal with issues of migration and life in the (African) diaspora.
During the day, the Virtual Reality Lounge invites you to immerse yourself in the latest 360° productions between 10am and 8pm.
In cooperation with AFRIKAMERA, the SUNSHINE CINEMA initiative (South Africa), as part of the Cinema Spaces Network (https://cinemaspacesnetwork.net), will also present two SUN BOXES during the festival, which will feature a selection of short films and present the work of the Cinema Spaces Network.
