Can you plant a whole forest? Could you put out a forest fire alone? What happens if you have a snake as your best friend? What if a rat stands on the mat, and refuses to go away?
All these questions and more will be answered in the picture-book cinema. Every weekend, different picture-books will be read out by actors, as well as projected onto a screen. Suitable for children 3+ and their families.
The actors
Joyce Ferse was born and grew up in Berlin Spandau. She studied Comparative Literature and Arts at the University of Potsdam and currently works as a freelance performer in Berlin and as a curator for the Stadtheater Spandau. She is also an audio descriptor for theater and opera productions. Most recently, she recorded the audio description for the production “Python perfume and chocolates from Pirgendwo” at the Theater an der Parkaue.
In 2021, she performed in the open-air productions 12 STÜHLE by Carlos Manuel, DIE STANDPAUKE by Mathias Hinke and also realized the audio walk SPANDOVIA MAGICA for the Altstadt Spandau. In 2019 she was a performer in the live theater game PATROL by the media theater collective machina eX at HAU. She has been a bit player at the Komische Oper Berlin since 2015 and a member of the jugendtheaterwerkstatt spandau e.V. ensemble since 2018.
Andrea Magogi Förster was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, then called Zaire, and has lived in Berlin since the age of nine. She has worked as an actress in various theatre and film projects. She also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Regional Studies Asia/Africa with a focus on films and theatre from East Africa and East Asia as well as a Master’s degree in African Studies with a focus on African literatures and cultures.
Celia Ibáñez Lamuño, born and raised in Berlin. Trained as an illustrator and print technician at the Escuela de Artediez in Madrid/Spain.
Currently a student at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig. Works as a freelance graphic designer, is part of the board of the cultural association Calaca e.V. in Berlin and a singer in various music projects in Leipzig.
Born and raised in Berlin, Franziska Krol is a trained actress and narrator. After studying at the Theaterakademie Vorpommern, she was engaged by the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, where she worked from 2007 to 2009, before moving to the Theater an der Parkaue, Berlin’s youth theatre, where she stayed for 10 years as a member of the core ensemble, until 2019. They have created guest productions for theatres such as the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, the Vorpommersche Landesbühne and the Theater Chemnitz. She works as a voice artist in radio drama and advertising, for public readings, and as a dubbing artist. She is also a singer and dancer with the Balkan cabaret band ‘Mc Natasha & Friends’, a member of the bilingual performance collective ‘Brigade Schnick Schnack’, and a researcher into the Russian language. Franziska Krol lives in Berlin.

Born and raised in Berlin, Franziska Ritter studied drama at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch. During her studies, she acted in films by Rainer Simon, and appeared both at the Maxim Gorki Theatre, directed by Thomas Langhoff, and at the Deutsches Theater. Her first professional engagement took her to the Volkstheater Rostock, where she also served as director for the first time. In 1990, she was a founding member of the Freie Kammerspiele Magdeburg, and remained a member of the company until 2000. She then worked independently as a freelance actress and director. From 2005 to 2015, she was a member of the ensemble at the Theater an der Parkaue in Berlin. Since 2015, Franziska Ritter has worked as a freelance actress and director. She has directed productions in Rostock, Magdeburg, Erfurt, Halle, Gera, Leipzig, Senftenberg, Bautzen, Göttingen, Wilhelmshaven and Berlin.
