In the room “Entertainment” in the BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition, there is an Odeon gramophone. It was made by Berlin-based Lindström AG, one of the largest record producers in Europe in the first third of the 20th century.
Based on this gramophone and the sixteen Lindström recordings that can be heard in the exhibition, presenter Patrick Helber talks to Berlin historian and curator Daniel Morat about the beginnings of the world music market and the role of music in the process of cultural globalisation.
The event will be held in German.
