At two interactive stations in BERLIN GLOBAL’s WELTSTUDIO, interested parties have the opportunity to create their own maps based on their experiences and critical questions. Questions can include: How do I get around Berlin? Which routes do I take? Where do the clothes I wear come from?

Creating maps is not just about drawing lines, but also about questioning the stories they tell and the perspectives they leave out. Cartography is a powerful tool for social and spatial justice by revealing the hidden connections between our local lives and the global tapestry.

Critical cartographer Camila Narbaitz Sarsur and art historian Dr Anne Kurr will lead the workshop.
