Street artist Russlan will present a live painting event, creating a 5m x 2m image with input from the public.
Using diverse aspects of the Palace of the Republic as inspiration, street artist Russlan will create a large-format painting. The design and creation process will take place live in front of visitors, to form a modern ‘happening’. As an artist with roots in the former Soviet Union and raised in Germany, the division of Germany and its reunification are frequently reflected in his work. The audience are invited to provide their own input, which Russlan will then incorporate into the picture. The picture will invite viewers to take selfies, to appear as part of the picture, becoming part of the story.
Russlan is an art director and illustrator working in animation, illustration, branding, graphic storytelling and street art. He is always on the lookout, and lives and works in Hamburg.
