Eye-to-eye introduction by Paula Kahumbu, Kenya
Athena, the 50-year-old matriarch, heads a large herd of elephants. During a period of drought she has to take some difficult decisions as the animals are forced on a dangerous migration. The film crew accompanied the herd for four years. With spectacular footage and sensitive narration, the film is particularly suitable for family audiences.
