In the dialogue-based tour in German Sign Language through the new presentation of the collections of the Ethnological Museum, you will gain insights into diverse gender roles, forms of relationships and sexualities around the globe. Social norms, initiation rituals and how people deal with each other’s behaviour are illuminated. In addition, spotlights are cast on colonial collecting practices and research, and the establishment of gender narratives in the museum context is critically addressed.
