The Humboldt Forum is a new building on a historic site. Since the Middle Ages, princes and politicians have built, remodelled, demolished and rebuilt here to express their political aspirations.
How is this eventful history of the site presented in the four permanent exhibitions in the Humboldt Forum? In what ways are predecessor buildings such as the Palace of the Republic or important events at this often controversial location reflected and made vivid?
The guided tour provides insights into the curatorial and design concepts of the exhibitions and invites discussion.
