This spring, the 2022-recurated, process-based Benin exhibition will be expanded by two additional showcases. While the first part of the exhibition focuses the restitution debates and Benin’s art history, the two new showcases will broaden the perspective on the kingdom. Among other things, they show how (pre-)colonial entanglements – in particular the trade in enslaved people – still have an impact on the latest restitution debates.
The meeting point is in the Benin exhibition on the second floor.
