Once a month, poetry and science come together at the Humboldt Lab. In the Logoskop‘s seventh edition, the renowned spoken-word poets Ken Yamamoto and Samuel J. Kramer will explore the exhibition ‚After Nature‘ with live performances of their work. Visitors are invited to join them on their tour of eloquence.

Ken Yamamoto was born in Paris in 1977 to a Japanese father and German mother and grew up speaking French. He has worked as a voice actor, assembly line worker, courier driver, diamond salesman, office worker, exhibition guide and assistant director.
Yamamoto studied art history and German literature and has been a spoken word poet for several years. He gives workshops in slam poetry and creative writing. He can be found monthly at the Berlin reading stage “Spree vom Weizen”.
In 2007 he received the Martha Saalfeld Prize and in 2008 a scholarship from the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen. In the same year he published the poetry collection “skzzn” with James & Warrington. In 2011 he worked in Chicago with the inventor of the poetry slam Marc Kelly Smith on the project “Performative Translations”.
Samuel J. Kramer was born in Gießen in 1996. He is an author, poetry slammer, conceptual and performance artist, and also moderates and curates events. Performances and engagements in Germany, Spain, Austria, Brazil, Romania and Switzerland. Publications in anthologies (including The Poetry Slam Primer), magazines and online.
In 2016, he was the youngest ever winner of the Hessian Poetry Slam Championship. Studied German and philosophy in Frankfurt. Works as a freelance journalist and copywriter, increasingly working at the interface of visual art, music and literature. Conducts workshops and gives seminars on creative writing and performance. He lives and works in Offenbach and Frankfurt am Main.
