Poetry and science meet every month at #Logoskop. In the eleventh edition, slam poets Aidin Halimi and Felix Römer will explore the exhibition After Nature together with live texts. Visitors are invited to accompany them on their eloquent tour.
Curated by Bas Böttcher
It is impossible to imagine Germany’s slam stages without Felix Römer. He is one of the pioneers of the scene. He became the German-speaking poetry slam champion with the poetry boy group SMAAT. Romer’s poetry is emotional, but never sentimental. He succeeds in alternating between entertainment and seriousness. On stage, he impresses with his distinctive voice, his humour and his passion. It is often about failure, rarely is it as beautiful as this. He rhymes about broken relationships, politics and the generation gap. Seriousness meets comedy, analytical acumen meets biting punchlines.
Aidin Halimi is a poetry slammer, comedian and reading stage author. He won the 2021 Poetry Slam Championships in Berlin/Brandenburg and is a member of the Couchpoetos reading stage in Berlin. His texts have already appeared in numerous anthologies. Before becoming an artist, he trained as a nurse and studied German literature and history at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He also worked as a German teacher for welcome classes for more than four years.
