Lars Ruppel is a multiple poetry slam champion and bestselling author and is now resting on the laurels of days gone by. Instead of poetry slams, he writes commissioned works for poetry-laden companies or summarises congresses with Poetic Recordings. With his “Weckworte” project, he trains carers to recite poems for people in need of care. This year he is organising the u20 Poetry Slam Championships in Frankfurt. www.larsruppel.de
Philipp Herold (Heidelberg/Berlin) is an author, performer and presenter. After completing his studies in cultural studies in Koblenz, he trained as a studio speaker in Berlin. He is a two-time German-language poetry slam runner-up, series editor of the anthology “Tintenfrische” and part of the collective “Verschwende deine Lyrik!”. Since 2013, Herold has organised the Dead and Alive Poetry Slam at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe and in 2014 he received the Martha Saalfeld Sponsorship Award. In 2018 he released his album “Alles zu seiner Zeit”, in 2021 the spoken word EP “Von hier an”. This summer he is in Barcelona for a writing residency at the invitation of Villa Joana.
