The exhibition Historys of Tanzania addresses the violent appropriation of “objects” during the colonial era in various ways. What curatorial and artistic strategies have been applied to address the gaps left by the theft of cultural belongings during the colonial era? Together with representatives of Tanzanian communities and artists from the exhibition, the discussion will provide an insight into the sensitive processes behind this exhibition. What role do artistic practices play in visualizing these processes?
