As part of the conference Cosmopolitan, International, Global: Music, Archives and Politics in East and West Berlin since 1963, contemporary witnesses from East and West Berlin will meet on these two evenings. On July 3, the former president of the ICTM Jacques Cloarec (represented by Jean-Pierre Pastori), Salwa el-Shawan Branco, formerly also at the ICTM, and Tiago Oliveira Pinto from the Franz Liszt Music University Weimar/Friedrich Schiller University Jena, will share their personal experiences. The talk will be moderated by Giovanni Giuriati, University of Rome / Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Venice.

On the second evening, Johannes Theurer from the Gesellschaft für Traditionelle Musik Berlin and Heike Hoffmann, former artistic director of the Musik-Biennale Berlin, will be among the guests. The second talk will be moderated by Dörte Schmidt from the Universität der Künste Berlin.

The first evening will be held in English, the second in German.
