In the castle cellar, old walls and numerous archaeological finds shed light on everyday life in this place from the Middle Ages to the present day. What were the cellars once used for? How were they heated and where did the water come from? Life in the monastery and castle was only possible thanks to the work of the servants.

The workshop offers a playful, exploratory approach to the history of everyday life in different eras. The families go on an exploratory tour through the castle cellar. Using the exhibited objects, illustrations and texts, they explore various topics of everyday history and trace the activities of people over the course of different eras. In this way, they gain an overview of history from the medieval quarter to the 21st century in an authentic location.
